The discussions in the National Congress on the proposal to value the Brazil Aid moved a lot in the last week. The already approved PEC Kamikaze increases the portion paid to low-income families and families from the current R$ 400 to R$ 600.

Another change not included in the text, but being analyzed by the government, is the inclusion of around 2 million families on the payroll in the coming months. According to the Ministry of Citizenship, the number is enough to remove the waiting list.

Technicians from President Jair Bolsonaro's team are working on the possibility of using the R$ 26 billion allocated to Auxílio Brasil to enroll more people in the program. All newly admitted beneficiaries will also receive installments of R$ 600.

Remember that the measures provided for in the text of the PEC are valid until December 2022, with no extension expected. Supercharged payments are scheduled to begin in August.

Brazil Aid


O benefit was created to help families in extreme poverty across the country. To access it, the following rules must be respected:

Have an active registration with CadÚnico (CadÚnico);
Living in extreme poverty (monthly income of up to R$ 105 per capita); or
Living in poverty (up to R$ 210 per capita monthly income) as long as there is at least one pregnant, lactating woman or person under 21 among family members.

There are also telephone service channels, namely: Ministry of Citizenship Relationship Center (nº 121) and Caixas Customer Service Center (nº 111).
