It may sound crazy, but it really isn't: it's the reality of auctions, which call into question the value of a product that can be used and damaged, or simply taken back by the bank, due to non-payment, but which is still in excellent condition. In reality, there are more properties and vehicles like this than you think.
In today's content, we're going to talk a little more about the box auction, carried out by Caixa Econômica Federal, containing vehicles and properties that, for the most part, were financed and not paid until the end.
Thus, to be compensated for the default, the bank is auctioning. So, if you want to know more about it, follow us to the end of the content for more details. Let's go!
What is an auction?
Before knowing more about the auction da Caixa, let's learn more about the exact definition of what an auction is. But after all, what is the real definition? What is an auction? Well, in addition to what you already know and have already understood, this is an occasion in which there are negotiations of various products, usually niche ones (auction of cars, motorcycles, jewelry, cattle, real estate auction).
The product – car – (or more than one, if there is negotiation) is the highest bidder at the end of the auctioneer's narration. To be even more faithful to a clear definition, below we leave the formal definition of “auction”, found in Wikipedia. Read:
“The auction or auction is a type of negotiation, very widespread in public bodies and private companies, as well as fishing auctions, in which the sale and purchase requested by the supply and demand for goods or services meet in a simple and quick way.”
So, an auction is a place where you go to “bid” a specific amount on a product that is being auctioned. These products may have different origins, from a collection of paintings by someone famous who died, to cars seized by the Federal Highway Police and being resold for a price that is often ridiculous.
What is the Caixa Auction?
But what about the Caixa auction, what is it all about? Well, here we are talking about an event held by Caixa Econômica Federal, in which auctions are made for products that have not been fully paid for in their financing provided by the banking institution itself. In this way, the bank takes the product as a pledge, and puts it up for auction.
Basically, there are 4 auctions per year, one every 3 months (March, June, September and December). It is the period necessary for the attachment action to settle, and, naturally, the bank has the right to auction the property that until then belonged to the holder of the financing. The two most auctioned products are:
- Real estate (houses, apartments and land);
- Vehicles (cars, motorcycles, vans and trucks).
